Whisper guesses from the first few seconds, and a wrong guess produces a fluent transcript in the wrong language rather than a bad one — which is worse, because it looks like it worked. Naming it removes the guess. Twelve languages, not ninety: this model is measurably weak outside them.

About

Zero Witness is a chat service with two ways of answering, and you pick which. In your browser the model runs inside this tab on your own device: nothing you type is sent anywhere, and once the model has loaded it keeps working with the network off. On our hardware your message is encrypted in this browser before it is sent, read only in memory on machines we own outright, and never written to disk.

Those two are not the same guarantee and this page never says they are. Browser mode is the only one you can check yourself. Server-mode protection depends on how we have built and run our own machines — there is no cryptographic proof of it the way there is for browser mode.

No accounts. Nothing you say is logged by us, and nothing is trained on. Not funded by advertising or by selling data.

Problems recorded in this tab

When something here fails, what went wrong is kept so it can be looked at rather than guessed at — which model would not start, which file would not load. It is held in memory only: never written to this device, and never sent to us or to anyone else. Closing the tab loses it. Read it before you send it on. It names what failed and where in the code, not what you said.
